On the surface, Auroraflow may seem just like your everyday spa. A beautiful space. Skilled therapists. Services you've heard of. But when you walk through our door in downtown Durham, you'll quickly notice something different.

A Space Built for All of Us

Auroraflow was founded by queer couple Castle Frame and Lauren McCullough with one core belief: that wellness is a fundamental right, not a luxury, and that for too long, the wellness industry has built spaces that feel unwelcoming to queer people, BIPOC clients, plus-size bodies, and anyone who doesn't fit the narrow mold of who "spa culture" has traditionally been designed for.

We set out to change that. Every decision we've made, from the way we train our staff, to the intake forms we use, to the way we price our services, has been made with the goal of radical inclusion.

What Makes Us Different

Pronouns matter here. Our team wears them on their nametags. Every client is asked for theirs at booking and in their intake. We use them consistently.

No weight limits. No judgment. Our tables support over 2,500 lbs. We offer bolsters, arm extenders, and downstairs accessible rooms. We don't make assumptions about what your body needs, we ask.

Our services are priced by time, not gender. Waxing, hair removal, and most services at Auroraflow are priced based on the time and effort of the provider, not assumptions about your body type or gender identity.

Pay What You Can days. We typically offer sliding-scale pricing at least twice a month because we believe financial access shouldn't be a barrier to wellness — follow us on Instagram for the latest updates, or give us a call at (919) 229-9555 to find out what's coming up.

Rooted in Durham

We are proudly based in downtown Durham, NC, a city as diverse, vibrant, and community-minded as the people we serve. We collaborate with local organizations, sponsor community events, and work to be more than a business: we aim to be a genuine part of the fabric of this community.

So yes, on the surface, we might look like a spa. But inside? We're something more.
