Ember Cadenas

Ember is a born and raised New Yorker living in Durham for the past 4 years. She attended a 10-week program at the Eco-Institute in Chapel Hill, where she learned to work with nature in the form of gardening, permaculture, and intentional community-living. As a multi-faceted artist, she enjoys DJing, video editing, writing, reading, and acting. She also enjoys cooking and fitness.

Outside of Auroraflow, Ember creates mixes and facilitates for Strut the Yard, an up-and-coming silent disco business led by her partner Lexi, connecting other BIPOC LGBTQ folx to an experience that reclaims the space through dance.

As a queer Latina who loves storytelling, Ember aspires to write & act in projects that highlight her community and tell their stories.

When she isn't at the front desk, she is frolicking/hiking/resting in nature, watching movies and television, enjoying a good video game, dancing the night away, or snuggling with her cat Daisy!
